Characters you have in the game: George Parley, Sam Vimes
Character Name: Robert Parr/Mr. Incredible
Character Canon: The Incredibles (Movie)
Canon Background: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Incredibles
Omegafriends Background: In the 1990s, a group of heroically minded individuals, with backing from the US Government, founded a super hero organization based in Chicago (though it grew to have chapters in other cities.) known as the Alpha Pals. Among their number was the hero Mr. Incredible, AKA Robert Parr. Together with his allies in justice, Mr. Incredible did battle with the forces of evil on an almost weekly schedule. The Alpha Pals were successful, too. Over a number of years, they successfully silenced most active super villains in the United States, and helped out in high profile cases in other countries.
The problem was, they also caused a lot of property damage and injuries. It was inevitable, with the kind of trouble they dealt with, so people put up with it. But when super villains started to become less common, suddenly the question of if America really NEEDED a super hero team rose up. Lawsuits against Mr. Incredible and other heroes for property and collateral damage started cropping up, and under mounting public pressure, the Alpha Pals were disbanded in the late 90s. Robert married Elastigirl (AKA Helen Parr) shortly before the disbanding, and the two of them set about raising a family. As the world wanted, it appeared to be a NORMAL family. They had three children (two sons and one daughter), who all had super powers of their own, but very carefully kept them seeming normal. Bob got a job as an insurance agent.
Present day. Robert and Helen live in the suburbs of Venture City. With a recent rise in supervillainy, America has called out for superheroes once again. The Omegafriends were founded, and after a heated argument with Helen, Bob agreed NOT to join them. What he DID do was secretly purchase access to the Omeganet on the black market, which he has used to post anonymously on, giving younger heroes advice, just so that he can feel like he's part of the hero movement again, if only indirectly.
Personality: Bob is a frustrated man in the grips of a classic mid-life crisis who can bench press freight trains. He is a disaster waiting to happen. He remembers the days when he appeared on the cover of Time Magazine as "Hero of the Year", but now he gets yelled at by his boss for having too much of a conscience. He can bench press tanks, but he works in a cubicle. He feels that society is punishing him for being special, and it is slowly driving him crazy.
His frustrations with life lead him to sometimes taking drastic actions. He's taken to doing "underground hero work", which is telling his wife he's going bowling then running around in a ski mask saving people from burning buildings at night. He is a man desperately searching for a constructive outlet to the bubbling desire to force his will upon the world, and getting smacked in the face with rejection everywhere he looks.
The core of his character is that he really REALLY likes being a superhero, and when the world doesn't let him be one, he gets miserable. His misery buries his positive aspects under a landslide of surly anger that is in danger of exploding out at the things around him. When angry he has a tendency to accidentally crush things. Doorknobs, cars, sometimes people. I'll say that because this is a kids show he's never actually cause SERIOUS injuries to anyone, but he has had outbursts, after which the government (Which is helping him integrate back into being a civilian again.) had to intervene and erase memories, bribe people, and relocate the Parr family.
He means well, for what it's worth. He loves his family unreservedly. Even in the world of superheroes that is (let's face it) full of various beautiful women, he never even contemplates cheating on his wife. He channels his destructive impulses in useful directions as much as he can. He has a very real sense of public duty. He follows his conscience whenever he can. And finally, as much as he hates pretending to be a normal person, he does do it. He messes up sometimes but he's really trying because he recognizes that what HE wants isn't always what's best for his friends and loved ones.
Powers: Superhuman strength and toughness. He isn't indestructible, but he uses train cars for weight lifting and walks off being crushed through solid stone. His control over his powers isn't perfect, but is enough so that he won't accidentally seriously injure someone by shaking their hand too hard. If he seriously injures you, it will be on purpose.
Sample: From the testrun!
Notes: Gonna add on that
this cartoon show was canon, but only aired a few episodes.
